Cancellation & refund policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
RushGo asks both sides of a ride to commit ₹10, so that rides actually happen. This policy explains when that ₹10 is refunded or forfeited, how fares are paid and how to get money back from your wallet.
The short version
- Cancel more than 2 hours before departure and your ₹10 comes back to your wallet straight away.
- Cancel within 2 hours of departure, or don't turn up, and the ₹10 is forfeited. There's never a second charge.
- If the ride giver cancels, every passenger gets their ₹10 back, whatever the timing.
- You can ask for your unused wallet balance back at any time. It's returned within 7 working days.
The ₹10 commitment
- Passengers commit ₹10 when they book, whatever the number of seats. It's held from the wallet and counts towards the fare when the ride is completed, so it's never an extra charge.
- Ride givers commit ₹10 when they publish a ride. It comes back to their wallet when the ride is completed.
When a passenger cancels
| When you cancel | Your ₹10 commitment |
|---|---|
| More than 2 hours before departure | Refunded to your wallet immediately. |
| 2 hours or less before departure | Forfeited. |
| At or after departure, or not turning up | Forfeited, as a no-show. |
- The app shows which rule applies before you confirm a cancellation.
- A passenger cancelling never affects the ride giver's commitment.
- Once the ride giver has started the ride, the booking can't be cancelled. Pay the rest of your fare in the app instead.
When a ride giver cancels
- Every passenger gets their full ₹10 back immediately, whenever the ride giver cancels.
- The ride giver's own ₹10 is refunded if they cancel more than 2 hours before departure. It's forfeited if they cancel within 2 hours of departure, or later.
Forfeited commitments
A forfeited ₹10 isn't refunded, and RushGo keeps it. Forfeiting it never leads to any other charge.
Fares
- You see the full fare before you book. Once the ride giver starts the ride, you pay the fare minus your ₹10 from your wallet, and the ride giver receives the full fare in theirs.
- If a ride doesn't happen as agreed, for example because the ride giver didn't turn up, contact us within 7 days of the ride. We'll look at the booking and the chat, and return commitments or fares where that's fair.
Adding money to your wallet
- You add money with UPI, a card or netbanking through Razorpay. It usually shows in your wallet immediately.
- If your bank or UPI app shows a payment but your wallet doesn't, wait a few minutes: most payments are confirmed automatically. If a payment failed, your bank usually reverses it within 5 to 7 working days.
- If it's still not sorted, contact us with the payment reference from your bank or UPI app, and we'll resolve it.
Getting your wallet balance back
- You can ask for your unused wallet balance back at any time. Write to us from the contact details below, with your registered mobile number.
- Once we've confirmed it's you, we return it within 7 working days: money you added goes back to the payment method you used, and ride earnings go to your bank account or UPI ID.
- When you delete your account, we contact you to return any balance, within the same 7 working days.
- Banks can take up to 5 to 7 working days more to show a refund on your statement.
How long refunds take
| Refund | Time |
|---|---|
| ₹10 commitment back to your wallet | Immediately. |
| Wallet balance back to your bank, card or UPI | Sent within 7 working days of your confirmed request. Your bank may take another 5 to 7 working days to show it. |
| Failed top-up payment | Reversed by your bank, usually within 5 to 7 working days. |
